Blue Peak Engineering was founded in 2004 by our President, Rob DePrat, as a full-service consulting firm offering expertise in civil engineering and land surveying. Blue Peak Engineering’s mission is to be a valuable and dependable resource for developers and their projects, dedicated to achieving success for the client through professional service, commitment, and integrity.

The Team
Rob DePrat, PE – President
Rob has over 25 years of professional civil engineering experience serving clients throughout the western United States in a wide range of commercial, residential, industrial, office, and mixed-use projects. He has designed and overseen the construction of all project types and sizes, ranging from small drive-thru restaurants to large retail power centers, and everything in between. Along with his depth of experience, Rob’s success lies in his dedication to customer service and maintaining valuable working relationships among clients, contractors, and local jurisdictions. When he is not working, Rob enjoys camping and coaching youth sports along with his wife and three children.

Thomas Hawksworth, PE – Senior Vice President
With over 19 years of civil engineering experience, Thomas has designed and managed various projects ranging in size from 0.5-acre to 60-acre developments. These developments include mixed-use, residential, industrial, commercial and educational facility projects in California, Washington, Arizona, Nevada and Idaho. Over the course of his career he has worked with clients such as Frontier Real Estate, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, El Pollo Loco, The Irvine Company, RD Olson, Popeye’s, The Habit, Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, McDonalds, Panda Express and numerous Southern California unified school districts. His recent projects include the River Street redevelopment project in San Juan Capistrano, an Extra Space Self-Storage redevelopment project in Anaheim, a new Starbucks in Anaheim, and the recently opened Rodeo 39 project in Stanton. With a family background in engineering, Thomas’s dedication to excellence and his ability to manage complicated projects are his foundations to success. When he’s not working, Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 kids, and off-roading in his 4Runner!

In his over 10 years of civil engineering experience, Steve has designed and managed a wide range of developments from a half-acre Jack-in-the-Box to an 83-acre planned community in Tustin. He has assisted clients along the entire west coast develop residential, industrial, and commercial projects, along with numerous educational facilities. A few of these clients include Regency Centers, Target, Wal-Mart, Circle K Stores, RD Olson, Standard Pacific Homes, Craig Reality as well as multiple Southern California unified school districts. Steve approaches each and every project, regardless of size, with the same attention to detail and commitment to the highest level of customer satisfaction and thrives on the unique challenges each project brings. In his free time, Steve enjoys hiking and camping with his wife and three children and working on his latest home improvement project.

Telisha Saucedo, Civil Design Engineer
With over 7 years of civil engineering experience across 5 states (Idaho, Iowa, Utah, Wyoming, and California), Telisha has a strong background in a wide range of projects from Transportation to Site Development. She has worked on transportation projects ranging from a 20-mile highway full design to a reconstruction of a city block. She has managed and designed residential developments from a 3-lot plat to a 33-division subdivision with full utilities and drainage ponds, and commercial developments where she was able to work with clients like Marriot hotels, University of Iowa, and University of Idaho. When she isn’t working, she spends her time chasing around her 2 toddlers along with her husband or traveling around finding any new adventure she can experience.
Karin Aiello, Executive Assistant
Karin is the glue that holds us all together. She has a degree in English she uses to keep our grammar in check. She uses her mom voice to make sure we get back to you on all the proposals, invoices, and emails we need to send. She’s also a professional photographer, a wanna-be novelist, and a Jeep enthusiast. In her spare time, she reads all the books, binges all the Netflix, and talks to strangers on the internet via her podcast, Filtered Thru Fiction.
